Guild and Raid Policies and Procedures
If you are a raider or recruit, please read this very carefully because this is how our team works and everything is explained here! This is the complement to our Guild Charter.
1. Attendance, Lateness and Absences
We expect high attendance from our raiders. If you need to take a break from raiding or know you will have spotty attendance due to real life changes, please post in the Guild forum. You will become a back-up raider. Raiders must post theirabsences or lateness in our calendar on our website by creating an event at the appropriate date. If an unexpected event makes you miss raid and can't post in time, notify your class leader or an officer as soon as possible.
2. Communication and Reporting
Respect and efficient communication is key to raiding.2.1 Mumble - Unless you are a leader or your are designated by a leader, we have a zero tolerance policy to mumble chatter during pulls. This rule includes trash pulls. In between pulls, mumble is open unless a leader is explaining strategy. Raging and Drama is unacceptable.
2.2 Forum participation - We expect raiders to participate actively to our forums. We use our forums to post strategies, absences, useful information, do polls, engage in class and roles discussions...
2.3. Strategy input - We highly value strategy input. A forum post is created for each progression encounter. The best way to communicate is through the boss encounter forum and through your role leader. Your role leader is here to relay your suggestions to the raid leader. However, the raid leader will use suggestionsand inputs at his discretion. For on the fly input, please type in officer chat. Every raider has the ability to type in /o, even if they're not able to see it.
3. Sitting policy
You may be sat for a raid or during raid. Many reasons can lead to your sitting. Raid Composition and strategy, absences while raid progressed on encounter, rules or charter violations, Repeated mechanic failure, poor performance... After invitations are done, officers may ask for raiders to volunteer to sit. We highly encourage it. Having a natural raider's rotation is great. If you sit, you are required to stay online and leave your character in front of the instance, ready to come back in as required.
4. Loot System 4.1. Loot Council - We use a loot council formed by 2 officers and 3 raiders. Loot council is nominated by the officers and changes every month. The loot council goes in another mumble channel to decide who gets loot. They are exonerated of doing trash until the loot distribution is over.
4.2. How to bid on loot? - There is a loot channel for raiders to bid on loot (/join loot86). We expect all raiders to know what is their BIS gear set and bid accordingly. Raiders must know what loot they want on each boss in order to bid quickly and efficiently. If you are late, you forfeit your bid on the loot. Raiders must link the item they are currently wearing and pertinent information (BIS, big upgrade).
Tier: link current item and number of tier pieces
2 slots items: link both items
swapping from one hand to 2 hand: Link other hander if you already have it, or if you need one.
4.3. Tips for members of the Loot Council - Loot Council looks at attendance over time, performance for the current encounter and over time, and conducts on the fly comparisons to level of upgrade for both the raiding character upgrading the item and the level of upgrade for the team as the raiding character fits into it. This is all conducted in the Loot Council channel - a separate mumble channel used during raids. 5. Mandatory Addons
- Angry Assignments: Leaders post coolddown rotations and assignments per encounter.
- Exorsus Raid Tools: This addon has many many useful modules and scans the raid. We don't require you to use them but you might find some very good for you. This is a tool for your leaders first and foremost, do not expect to use it for every encounter.
- DBM or BigWigs
- Some per encounter basis addons may be required
Weak Aura2 is a very versatile addon allowing endless UI improvement. It is not mandatory but highly recommended. We often share strings that can be useful to a specific encounter. Tellmewhen is also a viable option for UI improvement.
6. Rules and Charter Violations
All the raiders must respect the raiding rules and the guild charter. Violating them will have consequenses. Our charter and our rules are well enough detailed that we do not need to repeat what we consider an offense. Your role leader will whisper you on your first or second violation. After that you may be seated for the remainder of the raid or even the current raiding cycle. Multiple offenses will end up in being permanently removed from the raid or the guild.
7. Guild Bank
The guild provides repairs and all raid and gear consumables to raiders. However, we expect raiders to have active participation in our guild economy in return. Profession synergies and crafting for the guild should be a natural behavior. Stockpiling goods? Donate them to the bank. Have excess crafting materials? Create an epic or three and put it in the Officer tab to sell for gold so that we can upgrade other raiders' gear and pay for repairs. Bored? Go fishing. The Bank Master manages our bank. This person will asks for the most needed mats to the raiders. Except for the first “Free For All” bank tab, the other ones are specifically organized to make its management easy. When you are depositing material, please deposit them in the proper tab and in the correct slot. Spending hours to clean up the bank is not something leaders enjoy doing.
7.1. Deposits - Most members know how to be self-sufficient but not all members can craft all the consumables needed thus asking for people to deposit regurlarly.
The way your participate is up to you whether it is by depositing gold, regeants, raw materials or already crafted items.
7.2. Withdrawals - Raiders can directly withdraw pots, flasks and food. Any member can withdraw from tab one. If you need something from the officer tab or any other tab, just ask an officer. All tabs may not be open, but any item in the bank may be requested by any raider.
7.3. Alt Gear - Alt gear is provided at 50% market rate.
8. Guild Leadership
86 is managed by an Officer Council:
Yoshimeti – Guild Master – Guild Admin, Website Admin, Recruitment- <Yoshimeti#1404>
Veveren – Officer - Raid Organization and Recruitment
Jkep – Officer - Raid Leader, Main Tank Szam - Officer - Guild Admin, Recruitment, Healing
We also have role leaders for raiding:
Szam – Healing Liason - Szam#1736
Valdorr – Melee classes leader
<currently recruiting> - Ranged classes leader
Sakii – Bank Master, Co-Raid lead, Main Tank, Guild Morale
And some honourary members:
Quietbrew a.k.a QB – founder of the guild
Gwennymph – founding officer, forum troll, icy veins priest leader, and consustant
We have an open door policy when it comes to suggestions for making our guild and team awesome. Just contact the appropriate leader and share (whisper, /o, or in game mail).
8.1. Chain of Command for Raiding - Your class leader is the person who will operate your class team according to the Raid leader's strategy. You can communicate, share your suggestions and address any team related problems with him in outside of raiding hours and in between pulls only. The class forum is also here to optimize the class team communication and coordination. Some class healers use a specific channel for the team's raid communications. If you have an issue with your class leader or any officers, please address it to the guild master directly.
8.2. Call-outs and Coaching - Your team leader is here to listen to you, help you out and coach you. They might even ask you to be coached by a talented fellow player that can help you improve. We believe that sharing talent makes a better team. We highly encourage class and spec discussions, on the forums and otherwise. Everyone notices sometimes a raider that could improve, that has a bad day or that struggles with one specific mechanic. If you notice it, address this to your class leader. Call-outs in mumble are not tolerated unless you are a leader.
